Our Story

Hi, we're Harry and Trisha, and Kremee is our little shop. It's not a chain. It's us.

It started years ago on a trip to Tokyo. We tried our first taiyaki, warm from the iron, crispy on the outside and soft inside, and we were hooked. Then we tried Japanese soft serve, and it was unlike any ice cream we had ever had. We came home and couldn't stop talking about them.

We looked everywhere for them here. The closest place we could find was hours away.

Trisha has always loved baking and making desserts, so we stopped looking and decided to make them ourselves. In 2024 we opened Kremee at 61st & Memorial, bringing warm taiyaki and soft serve together under one roof, in the city we call home.

Since then, we've kept adding treats we love, each with its own little story: an affogato that takes the Italian classic and makes it ours with soft serve, Vietnamese coffee and tiramisu foam, and a warm pizookie inspired by New York's soft cookies.

Our hope is simple: that you leave a little happier than when you walked in. We can't wait to share Kremee with you.

FAQ

What is taiyaki?

Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped waffle, traditionally filled with sweet red bean. We make ours fresh to order with fillings that rotate seasonally, like custard, Nutella, cookie butter, red bean and mozzarella. They come out crispy outside and soft inside, best eaten warm.

What are your hours?

Monday–Thursday 2–9 PM, Friday 2–10 PM, Saturday 12–10 PM, Sunday 12–9 PM.

Can I have a party at Kremee?

Yes. Book our private room for birthdays, showers and get-togethers.

Do you offer catering?

Yes. Our party packs come with ice cream cups and taiyaki cones for about 10 to 50 people, starting at $79 ($6.60 per person). Catering orders are pickup only from our shop, so please order at least 24 hours in advance. See our party packs.
